Attorney Grievance Commission Declines to Reopen Prior Pamela Ritter Matter Following Submission Concerning Certificate of Redemption

On March 28, 2026, Drs. Bradley Foerster and Myria Petrou submitted a complaint to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission concerning a recorded Certificate of Redemption executed by attorney Pamela Ritter following the August 3, 2017 sheriff's sale of the Brian Court property.

The recorded instrument states that $80,926.53 was received on December 13, 2017 as payment "in full for redemption." However, the instrument does not identify the person or entity that exercised the statutory right of redemption.

The complaint requested review of that omission and whether a recorded instrument purporting to evidence redemption adequately establishes redemption where the record reflects payment but does not identify the redeemer.

On May 5, 2026, the Attorney Grievance Commission advised that the information submitted did not warrant reopening a prior Pamela Ritter matter. The correspondence did not discuss the Certificate of Redemption, did not address the issues raised in the March 28, 2026 submission, and did not identify any basis for declining further review.
