Washtenaw County Prosecutor Declines Embezzlement Charges Against Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou (2018)
On February 7, 2018, the Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office declined to authorize criminal charges against Dr. Bradley Foerster and Dr. Myria Petrou in connection with allegations of embezzlement arising from the Ann Arbor Police Department investigation.
The charging request, submitted by Detective Bradley Rougeau, sought embezzlement charges related to financial accounts that had previously been frozen pursuant to search warrants.
The Prosecutor’s Office denied the request, stating that there was insufficient evidence to establish probable cause and that the matter was civil in nature and did not rise to the level of criminal culpability.
The denial applies to both Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou.
These determinations preceded the eviction of Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou from 630 Geddes Ridge, as reflected in the following record.
