Foerster v. Department of Justice: Joint Status Report Filed with the United States District Court

On July 12, 2026, Dr. Bradley Foerster provided a draft Joint Status Report to Assistant United States Attorney Kimberly Stratton in advance of the Court's July 13 filing deadline, inviting revisions and expressing his preference that the parties submit a joint filing.

On July 13, 2026, Dr. Bradley Foerster and the Department of Justice jointly filed a Joint Status Report updating the Court regarding the status of the FBI's productions in this Freedom of Information Act litigation. Before filing, Assistant United States Attorney Kimberly Stratton advised that the FBI had been asked to investigate the remaining page-count discrepancy and to confirm that all records referred for consultation had been released. Dr. Bradley Foerster subsequently approved the revised Joint Status Report, which was filed with the Court on behalf of the parties.

The filed Joint Status Report advises the Court that the FBI has completed its productions in the litigation, that Dr. Bradley Foerster continues reviewing the records produced, and that the FBI is investigating questions concerning the number of potentially responsive pages reviewed. The parties jointly requested approximately sixty days for Dr. Bradley Foerster to complete his review of the productions and proposed filing the next Joint Status Report on or before September 11, 2026.
