State of Michigan 15th District Court Asked to Produce Previously Acknowledged Search Warrants

On July 28, 2026, Dr. Bradley Foerster submitted a renewed request to the 15th Judicial District Court seeking copies of the search warrants, search warrant affidavits, and related court records associated with Ann Arbor Police Department Case No. 17-3517.

The renewed request follows multiple prior submissions through the Court's online Copy Request portal over several years for which no response was received. It also encloses an August 8, 2019 letter from the Court in which then-Magistrate Tamara Garwood advised that the Court would provide copies of the search warrants and search warrant affidavits upon payment of the applicable copy fee.

The request respectfully asks the Court to produce:

  • All search warrants issued in connection with AAPD Case No. 17-3517;
  • All supporting search warrant affidavits;
  • Any search warrant applications;
  • Any returns of search warrant;
  • Any inventories filed with the Court; and
  • Any other court records relating to those search warrants.

If the requested records have been transferred, archived, sealed, destroyed pursuant to a records-retention schedule, or are otherwise no longer maintained by the Court, the request asks the Clerk to identify their present location or the office or agency that currently maintains them.

The request was transmitted by U.S. Mail, email, and facsimile and copied to The Honorable Tamara A. Garwood, Judge of the 15th Judicial District Court.
