Dear President Trump,
I wanted to give you an update regarding my litigated FOIA appeal (Federal Case No. 25-cv-03277) for my 500-page FBI file all about Russia-Gate. As I have informed you no one ever told us there was a FBI Russia-Gate investigation involving myself and the statements about Russian interference into the 2016 U.S. Presidential election came from Paul Cronin which at the time sounded outlandish. Given what came out following and the Mueller investigation, we were advised by our attorney to report what Paul Cronin told us. Then the University of Michigan and the City of Ann Arbor came after me and my family. When I asked the University of Michigan to facilitate Cronin being deposed about Russia-Gate in front of a federal judge, UM tried to fire me!
Which brings us back to my litigated FOIA appeal for the Russia-Gate investigation that occurred in Ann Arbor.
The U.S. DOJ/US attorney took a 60 day extension to file its reply contesting the release of my 500-page FBI Russia-Gate file which surely would be in the public interest to release. I have repeatedly asked the U.S. attorney representing the DOJ to schedule a meeting given that there is a joint status report due tomorrow per court order. The only reply I have received is that the U.S. attorney is waiting to hear back the U.S. DOJ.
The status report has to include (1) the status of Plaintiff’s FOIA request; (2) the anticipated number of documents responsive to Plaintiff’s FOIA request; (3) the anticipated dates(s) for release of the documents requested by Plaintiff; (4) whether a motion for stay is likely under Open America v. Watergate Special Prosecution Force, 547 F.2d 605 (D.C. Cir. 1976); (5) the possibility of prioritizing documents responsive to Plaintiff’s requests and any discussions regarding whether Plaintiff’s requests can be narrowed; and (6) whether the Parties anticipate summary judgment briefing and, if so, a proposed briefing schedule.
Can you please ask the U.S. DOJ/U.S. attorney to reply to me so that we can file the joint status report due tomorrow?
Thank you,
Brad Foerster
