October 22, 2026 — Dr. Bradley Foerster Sends Updated Russia-Gate Documentary Chronology to President Trump, Vice President Vance, Congress, and Michigan Officials

On October 22, 2026, Dr. Bradley Foerster sent a concise update concerning the completed Russia-Gate documentary chronology to President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Representative Jamie Raskin, Senator Chris Van Hollen, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

The correspondence explained that Dr. Foerster had substantially reorganized the public Case Index concerning the Russia-Gate information reported by Dr. Foerster and his wife, Dr. Myria Petrou, the resulting FBI record, and the related University of Michigan records and proceedings.

The updated chronology brings together the 2016 statements attributed to Dr. Paul Cronin; the 2018 FBI interviews and correspondence to Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein; the 500-plus-page FBI file identified and processed in Foerster v. U.S. Department of Justice; the INTELPRODS record and 39 associated withheld pages; and the federal prosecution-declination and case-closure records.

The federal production remains incomplete: 16 pages remain in consultation with an unidentified entity that is not a party to the litigation. Separately, the University of Michigan confirmed that two Russia-Gate-related records concerning Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou exist in its Office of General Counsel files and withheld both records in full.

Dr. Foerster informed President Trump that earlier correspondence concerning the matter had been referred through DOJ to the FBI as Correspondence No. 1023568. Although the FBI stated that the correspondence had been sent to appropriate offices for review, Dr. Foerster has received no substantive disposition, and his FOIA request for records concerning that review remains unresolved.

Dr. Foerster asked Vice President Vance to review the updated record and bring it to President Trump’s attention.

Dr. Foerster asked Representative Raskin and Senator Van Hollen, his federal representatives, to review the chronology and consider whether congressional inquiry or oversight is warranted regarding the FBI’s handling and disposition of the Russia-Gate information and related federal records.

Dr. Foerster also asked Attorney General Nessel, Democratic attorney general nominee Eli Savit, and Governor Whitmer to consider further state review of the University of Michigan’s actions, including whether the University received or relied upon federal investigative information in proceedings involving Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou.

The state correspondence noted that Dr. Foerster had asked Attorney General Nessel on March 29, 2026, to review University actions and any use of federal investigative information by the University. Governor Whitmer was copied on that submission. Attorney General Nessel did not respond.

The correspondence also explained that Dr. Foerster identified Dr. Cronin during the University’s Bylaw 5.09 proceedings and sought assistance obtaining his testimony. Dr. Cronin did not testify. The University nevertheless evaluated Dr. Foerster’s credibility without that testimony and relied on its adverse credibility determination in recommending his dismissal.

The correspondence identified the question that remains unresolved after production of the FBI records: the released records do not disclose what conclusion, if any, the FBI reached concerning the Russia-Gate information that Dr. Foerster and Dr. Petrou reported before the FBI closed the broader criminal case and all of its subfiles.

Dr. Foerster also noted that he asked Dr. Cronin three times in 2026 to clarify or correct the record. Dr. Cronin did not respond.

The correspondence was sent before the November 3, 2026 election. Savit is the Democratic nominee for Michigan attorney general.
