The Russia-Gate Tape — Summer 2016, Ann Arbor, Michigan: Bradley Foerster, Paul Cronin, and Duaa Altaee — Full Transcript of the AI-Assisted Audio Reconstruction
This post presents the accompanying transcript of an AI-assisted dramatic audio reconstruction depicting conversations among Dr. Bradley Foerster, Dr. Paul Cronin, and Duaa Altaee during late summer of 2016 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Paul Cronin, a University of Michigan radiologist, frequently visited the Ann Arbor home of Maria and Petros Petrou, where Drs. Myria Petrou and Bradley Foerster were staying while Maria and Petros were in Cyprus. Many of the conversations took place on the screened-in back porch, informally known as the “Chicken Coop.”
The reconstruction is based on Dr. Bradley Foerster’s recollections of conversations with Dr. Paul Cronin over several days, including his subsequent questioning of Paul Cronin about the claims described below. Dr. Foerster subsequently documented statements attributed to Dr. Cronin in a sworn affidavit dated September 1, 2018.
This is not an original recording or a verbatim transcript of the 2016 conversations. The statements attributed to Paul Cronin represent Foerster’s recollections of what Cronin said; their inclusion does not establish that the underlying claims were true.

BRADLEY FOERSTER: Hi, Paul. Duaa’s already here on the back porch. Come on through.
I ordered some wings and pizza from Pizza House. Should be here in a little bit.
How’s everything?
PAUL CRONIN: Oh, pretty good.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: What are the kids up to tonight?
PAUL CRONIN: Anna and Eva are at Fuller Pool with Aine, having a good time.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Yeah, August in Ann Arbor. Perfect weather for the pool. Myria’s out with our kids at the park.
DUAA ALTAEE: Oh, hey, Paul. Brad and I were just wondering whether you were coming back this evening. We thought you might want a break.
PAUL CRONIN: Oh, no. It’s been good coming over and hanging out with you.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Well, you know where to find us.
You guys want something to drink? I picked up a nice bottle of French red.
PAUL CRONIN: Yes, of course.
DUAA ALTAEE: A glass of wine would be nice. Thank you.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Cheers.
DUAA ALTAEE: So, Paul… you’ve been coming over here a lot, telling us all these things. I wanted to come back to something you said yesterday. About the election.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Yes, can you tell us a little more about that?
PAUL CRONIN: Well, as I said yesterday, Russia wants Trump to win.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Yeah. Hillary’s not a big friend of the Russians. Or Putin.
Okay… so Russia wants Trump to win. So what?
PAUL CRONIN: They’re gathering information from social media. Scraping it. Looking at people’s interests, their politics, what they respond to. Then they use that to target specific people with specific advertisements.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: So different people get different messages?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes. Microtargeting. The Russians have devoted a lot of resources for getting that data from people’s social media accounts and exploiting it with targeted ads. It’s pretty remarkable.
DUAA ALTAEE: Depending on what they know about each person?
PAUL CRONIN: Exactly.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Okay, but come on, I mean Paul. How big a deal is sending some directed ads to people? Campaigns already advertise.
You’re talking about deciding a presidential election. That seems like a pretty big jump.
PAUL CRONIN: There’s way more to it than the advertising.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Like what?
PAUL CRONIN: The Russians would only help Trump get elected if they could get something out of it. Putin has kompromat on Trump.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Kompromat?
PAUL CRONIN: You know, compromising material. Information that a person doesn’t want to come out.
DUAA ALTAEE: Something they can use as leverage over him?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: What do they have?
PAUL CRONIN: A sex tape from when Trump was visiting Russia.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: A sex tape of Trump?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Come on.
DUAA ALTAEE: So the idea is that Russia helps Trump get elected, and then he’s under Putin’s thumb?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: That’s a hell of a thing to say, Paul.
But let me go back to the election part. You’re saying they know enough about people to send them something that might change their vote. That’s one thing.
How do you get from that to knowing Trump’s going to win?
PAUL CRONIN: They’re going to hack the election.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: What do you mean, hack the election?
PAUL CRONIN: The count. In Trump’s favor.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: You mean changing the actual vote count?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes, the Russians are going to hack the election count to get Trump elected.
DUAA ALTAEE: That’s a whole other level.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: No way. That’s nonsense, Paul. There’s no way that’s possible.
PAUL CRONIN: For sure. That’s the plan I’m telling you about. And I’m telling you it can be done.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: I don’t buy it, Paul. But let’s say, for the sake of argument, Putin and his buddies hack the election in Trump’s favor. There’s no way the story isn’t going to come out. How do they expect to get away with it?
PAUL CRONIN: Bob Mueller will be brought in to cover it all up.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Who is Bob Mueller?
PAUL CRONIN: You know, Bob Mueller. He was FBI director under Bush and Obama. Stepped down a few years ago. He has a lot of gravitas.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Damn, Paul. That’s a hell of a story.
How do you know all this?
PAUL CRONIN: I’ve worked with Russian intelligence.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: You’ve worked with Russian intelligence?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
DUAA ALTAEE: Is that what you meant when you were talking about working with foreign governments?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Paul, I work with you at the University of Michigan. We’re doctors. Now you’re sitting on the back porch here in Ann Arbor telling me you work with Russian intelligence.
PAUL CRONIN: Physicians are near-perfect cover.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Come on, Paul.
DUAA ALTAEE: Who are you talking about, Paul? Who do you deal with?
PAUL CRONIN: I have a direct line to Putin.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: A direct line to Putin?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: I don’t know what you want me to do with that, Paul.
DUAA ALTAEE: And you expect us to believe that?
PAUL CRONIN: And there’s something else. Rick Snyder is involved in this too.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Rick Snyder? Our governor?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Eva told me that Al Taubman wanted Snyder to run for president.
PAUL CRONIN: Snyder was pissed that Trump picked Pence over him as his running mate.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Snyder wanted to be vice president?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
DUAA ALTAEE: So why didn’t he get picked?
PAUL CRONIN: He was too tainted by the Flint water crisis.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Okay, but being pissed about not getting picked for vice president is one thing. You’re saying Snyder is involved in all this? The Russians and Trump?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Then why would he help Trump if he was pissed about being passed over?
PAUL CRONIN: It’s not about helping Trump. It’s about helping Snyder. There’s a financial angle here that will benefit Snyder.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: What financial angle?
PAUL CRONIN: Money from the Russians.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Really? Come on, Paul.
PAUL CRONIN: Yes, really, Brad.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: Okay, Paul, let’s take it from the top. You’re saying the Russians have kompromat on Trump, and they’re going to help him win the U.S. presidential election. Is that right?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: And the expectation is that Trump will then help Putin?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: And you’re also saying this isn’t simply providing information or targeting ads. You’re talking about directly hacking the election counts. Is that right?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: And that other important people, including Rick Snyder, know all about this?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes, Brad.
BRADLEY FOERSTER: And then, when the story “leaks,” Bob Mueller will be brought in to clean it all up?
PAUL CRONIN: Yes, Brad. Yes. You will see.
Closing Narration
NARRATOR: Don’t take Paul’s word for it. Read Brad Foerster’s affidavit about the chicken coop and the Russia conversations at Hail to the Victims dot com. That’s “hail,” the number two, “the victims,” dot com.
