Dr. Bradley Foerster’s FBI File: January 2018 Mueller Letter and May 2018 Rosenstein–Mueller Correspondence Within FBI Records
Federal records released in ongoing DOJ FOIA litigation further reflect that correspondence sent by Dr. Bradley Foerster and Dr. Myria Petrou to Special Counsel Robert Mueller concerning alleged Russian election interference and related “Russia-Gate” matters was formally documented within FBI records.
The released materials include a January 31, 2018 letter to Special Counsel Robert Mueller concerning alleged Russian election interference and related matters.
An FBI FD-302 dated May 8, 2018 separately documents receipt of an April 27, 2018 email “including attachment” relating to information “previously sent to Special Counsel Mueller by Doctors Bradley Foerster [ ]”.
An additional FBI “Import Form” dated May 11, 2018 states that the purpose of the entry was:
“To document Foerster [ ] letter forwarded to Special Counsel Mueller for information.”
The same FBI import record identifies the enclosed material as “email and mueller letter_2018_05_07_17_07_01_728.pdf,” reflecting additional FBI administrative processing of the January 31, 2018 Mueller correspondence within the underlying FBI file.
Subsequent FBI records released through the same production also reflect FBI acknowledgment of the federal litigation captioned Foerster v. Cronin, No. 2:18-cv-07672-ODW-JC. The attached litigation exhibits included both the earlier January 31, 2018 Mueller letter and a later May 18, 2018 letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Special Counsel Robert Mueller concerning alleged “Russia-Gate”-related statements, associated allegations, and related events involving the University of Michigan and Dr. Paul Cronin.
The released records therefore reflect repeated FBI documentation and administrative handling of the January 31, 2018 Mueller correspondence, including the May 8, 2018 FD-302, the May 11, 2018 FBI import process, and later litigation-related materials associated with the same underlying chronology.
The released materials do not presently establish what investigative conclusions, if any, were ultimately reached regarding the underlying allegations.
